Liming Zhang

The worst prof. for o chem I have had. He did not curve the class. He gave pop-tests that were equivalent to a mid term. He emphasized specific topics for final and did not exam on them.

Zhang was a terrible prof.. I took him his first quarter teaching at SB, so I assume he will improve with time. That being said, he has a thick Chinese accent which makes him difficult to understand, and I left class every day feeling like I hadn't learned anything. exam averages were usually around 55%. exams are 1/2 free response, 1/2 M.C.

Zhang is a terrible teacher. He does not speak English well at all, and his slides are just screenshots of tables from the textbook. It's obvious he doesn't really rehearse or plan out his courses, which, when coupled with his inability to speak English, yields disastrous results as he stumbles over his words. You will learn very little in class.

I thought he was a impartial prof. with exams, his practice exams were very similar to the real thing. However, his teaching was terrible. I felt like I didn't learn anything by going to his class and I had to teach myself everything. His class was incredibly dull and I thought it was just me not liking ochem but this quarter I really enjoy it
