Future-Focused Study Abroad: IFSA in Wales

Wales is a country of contrasts. Its a land of legend King Arthur is claimed as a native by the Welsh but is also home to one of Europes newest capitals, Cardiff. While Wales is one of the modern Celtic nations, roughly one-third of its people speak Welsh, one of the oldest languages in Europe. Youll find friendly people, expansive nature, and amazing history (including 400 yes, 400! castles). And Wales has adapted well to new technology. You may be surprised to learn that Cardiff is one of the leading bases for media production in Britain. Dr. Who, Torchwood and Sherlock are produced, and sometimes filmed, in Cardiff.

Cardiffs world-leading research university has been ranked fifth among UK universities for quality. The university has 26 academic schools, which are divided into three colleges: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Biomedical and Life Sciences; and Physical Sciences. Cardiff offers excellent courses in almost any major you are studying.

Cardiff is just two hours by train to the west of London and has an excellent road, rail and air links to the rest of the UK and Europe, so youll be able to explore Britain and Europe easily.
